Looking for an Electrical Design Engineer who is passionate about electrical engineering design and will provide outstanding collaboration, product creativity, and attention to detail as they design and develop high-quality products and systems.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Creates electrical designs of high-speed PCB backplanes, auxiliary PCBs and interconnection systems per customer requirements, military specifications, and industry standards
    • Creates and maintains the engineering drawing packages to support new and existing PCB designs
    • Designs cable harnesses to connect electronic components and devices within the system
    • Analyzes overall design criteria, drawings, and test results to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications
    • Analyzes information and data to determine feasibility of product proposal
    • Prepares and maintains power and thermal budgets
    • Develops test plans to validate and verify the product design meets the requirements
    • Uses computer assisted engineering and design software to formulate and analysis electronic designs and system performance
      • Provide technical support to sales and manufacturing personnel to support new product development.
      • · Participates in customer design reviews and supports weekly phone calls with the client during the developmental phase

       

      Experience & Qualifications:

      • Proficient in PCB design software; Mentor Graphics PADS experience is a plus
      • Knowledge of electronic design concepts such a differential-pairs, transmission lines and bus- structures
      • Understanding of PCB design techniques, including layout, materials, and stack-ups
      • Familiarity with military specifications and military part selection to meet rugged environmental requirements.
      • Analytical mindset in order to synthesize complex or diverse information.
      • Exceptional technical skills while able to employ a high level of trouble shooting techniques to gather and analyze information as well as develop alternative solutions.
      • Understanding of VITA and PICMG computer standards is a plus
      • Basic understanding of project schedules and ability to assist in creating schedules
      • Ability to effectively communicate with others
      • Self-starter, self-motivated, problem-solving team player
      • Ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of similar work experience
