The Electrical Engineer for Capital & Automation Projects will lead and support the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and automation solutions for large-scale capital projects in a metals production plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the electrical and automation aspects of capital and automation projects from concept to commissioning, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.
- Develop and review detailed electrical designs, single-line diagrams, power distribution systems, and control system architecture for new installations or upgrades.
- Design and program automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA platforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of project experience in electrical engineering and automation within industrial or manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience with PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols.
