Coleman Consulting Group, LLC are looking for engineers to work disaster recovery
Job duties:
Conduct site inspections on sites with major damage (e.g., destroyed facilities; facilities with extensive damage; facilities with significant damage to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components, etc.) to document disaster-related damage
Conduct site inspections to validate infrastructure damage and record detailed damage descriptions during the inspection to include the following additional tasks:
Review and analyze professional architectural/engineering reports and designs or as-built plans
Develop scopes of work, including related code and standard requirements
Validate applicant-provided scopes of work, including related code and standard requirements. Develop and review cost estimates
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in either electrical or mechanical engineering and professional registration; OR bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience in a related field
5 years of experience in site inspections of large commercial infrastructures
1-2 years of experience in site Inspections in any of the following eligible types of work:
Restoration of Roads, Bridges, Water control Facilities, Buildings, Equipment, Utilities, Debris Removal, Schools, Churches, Parks, and recreation centers
A United States Citizenship
The ability to maintain FEMA specific trainings
Microsoft Office Skills
The ability to deploy to any location in zone 2 with a 24–48-hour notice after Task Order Award
Additional desired experience and skills:
2 years minimum of prior Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) experience
PE - Professional Engineer
Experience managing Site Inspectors
Knowledge of the FEMA Public Assistance Program/Policy
Trained in the new Public Assistance delivery model is preferred
