Electrical Engineer – Power Distribution

We are seeking a skilled electrical engineer to join our team at a metals production facility. This role focuses on power distribution systems, ensuring reliable and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, including medium and high-voltage equipment, transformers, switchgear, and motor controls
• Perform system analysis and implement upgrades to improve efficiency and reliability
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical codes, and industry standards
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime and optimize system performance
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for electrical system failures
• Support capital projects by providing technical expertise and reviewing electrical designs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
• Experience with power distribution systems in an industrial or manufacturing setting preferred
• Knowledge of high-voltage equipment, switchgear, and protective relays
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and electrical codes
