    Independent Lighting & Electrical, locally owned and operated in Virginia Beach, VA with over 30 years of history, is looking for an experienced Electrical Foreman to join our growing team.

    Electrical Foreman – Full-time

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    Run crew of electricians on commercial construction projects • Supervise crew of 3 to 15 electricians • Interact with GC Foreman to plan and execute projects • Execute plans of electrical wiring for lighting and other electrical systems • Install distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breakers, panels etc.) • Install and support conduits, pull wire, terminate equipment and devices • Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and the cause • Provide training and guidance to team members on proper techniques and safety measures. • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project timelines

    Electrician Qualifications and Skills: • Proven journeymen level experience as a commercial electrician • Demonstrate ability to use electrical tools and read electrical drawings and blueprints • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team towards achieving project goals. • Thorough knowledge of lock out-tag out safety procedures, regulations, and NEC codes • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability - troubleshooting • Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work full shifts • Valid driver’s license with a good record • Journeyman or Master license preferred
