We are looking for proactive, adaptable and experienced Electrical Infrastructure Buyer with 5 years of experience sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing electrical components and equipment necessary for infrastructure projects such as transformers, disconenct switches, etc. Experience negotiating with European companies. This role requires a strong understanding of the electrical industry, excellent negotiation skills, and a focus on cost-effective procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Vendor Management:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of electrical infrastructure equipment.
Build and maintain relationships with vendors to secure favorable terms.
Monitor vendor performance and address any issues.
Procurement Planning and Strategy:
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to define equipment requirements.
Develop procurement strategies that align with project goals and risk management.
Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Contract Negotiation:
Prepare and issue RFPs for electrical equipment.
Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate contracts to secure optimal terms.
Purchase Order (PO) Management:
Issue purchase orders and track order fulfillment.
Resolve any discrepancies or disputes related to orders.
Quality Control and Inspection:
Establish quality standards and inspection procedures.
Oversee inspections of incoming materials and equipment.
Inventory Management:
Maintain inventory records and optimize inventory levels.
Cost Control and Analysis:
Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement in the electrical industry, negotiating pricing for transformers, capacitor banks, disconnect switches, etc.
Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure equipment and specifications.
