    The Bunker Hill Mine is preparing for a mine restart and is currently looking for Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians to support site operations by modifying, rebuilding, and/or overhauling electronic and electrical equipment and controls. Applies knowledge of electric theory and electronic principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.

    Essential Functions:

    Perform site-wide electronic and electronic maintenance for: Process Infrastructure, Surface Support Facilities, Site Utilities, All Process Equipment, Unit Processes, and Facilities.

    Execute assigned maintenance tasks and electrical projects efficiently and effectively.

    Plan and perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic theory and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment and process instrumentation.

    Responsible for identifying needed replacement parts and to prepare requisitions for purchase or warehouse issue requests.

    Plan details of working procedures to determine material or replacement needs and determine a logical approach to repair problems.

    Troubleshoot and rectify electrical and instrumentation issues to minimize equipment downtime.

    Service electronic equipment and process instrumentation by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuit modules, printed circuit boards, vacuum tubes, and similar electronic devices.

    Perform site-wide electronic and electrical/instrumentation maintenance, making operating adjustments as required.

    Perform equipment electrical analysis and diagnosis, advanced troubleshooting and systems/process optimization.

    Work on switch gear and distribution including grounding with proper LOTOTO procedures.

    Perform preventative maintenance including motor checks, ground loop checks, metering electrical circuits, calibrating equipment, breakers, starters, instruments of all types, and completing additional checks and inspections as required.

    Review, revise and create SOP's as requested.

    Perform NRC conduit bending and fastening: conduit, cable tray, grounds, boxes, and calculating loads and feeder sizes.

    May be required to use the following mobile equipment: forklifts, light duty vehicles, bucket trucks, high-lift trucks.

    Accountable participation in developing and updating all electrical maintenance strategies for Process assets and facilities and emphasize the principles of Reliability Centered Maintenance and maintenance best practices.

    Active participant in personal development and stay current on training and new technology.

    Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and SCADA control system as necessary.

    Maintain and install communication cables, power distribution cables and wiring; perform splicing as needed.

    Fabricate parts as required using machine and hand tools common to the trade.

    Advise operators and mechanics of standard operating procedures and requirements for working safely with electronic equipment and components.

    Maintain performance and maintenance records for electronic and electrical equipment.

    Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the work area.

    Training and Experience Required:

    High school diploma or vocational certificate in electrical trades; must have sufficient education to read and write instructions, perform simple mathematical calculations, and maintain accurate records.

    2+ years as a journeyman electrician and maintenance related experience in an industrial environment required; preferably in a mining environment or similar heavy industry.

    Demonstrated technical knowledge of electronics, electrical systems, and process instrumentation required.

    Specialized mechanical/electrical trades experience, particularly with fixed processing plant equipment preferred.
