Electrical Role Sign-On Bonus $500
Starting pay is $26.50 - $30+ based on knowledge, skill, and ability of applicant. Annual review with opportunity for pay increase based on performance. Annual Bonus based on performance.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Panel Shop Team Leader, this position will be responsible for building control panels in a safe and timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Build and troubleshoot electrical systems including, but not limited to control panels, control stations, and junction boxes.
§ Interpret data from electrical and mechanical diagrams and schematics.
§ Diagnose malfunctioning system components/wiring using test equipment and locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
§ Understand complex panel builds and help define project requirements when not specified.
§ Understand functionality of panel components and builds. Ex. PLC’s, HMI’s, Contactors, Motor starters etc.
§ Create red lined drawings for design errors and/or changes.
§ Use electrical test equipment and perform final check on panels.
§ Run electrical wires in the most effective route to minimize wire used and for uniformity and neatness.
§ Create wire/panel labels utilizing engraving and printing equipment.
§ Exceptional attendance.
§ Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.
§ Complete understanding of Low and High voltage systems-24V/120V/240/480V, Single & Three phase.
§ Excel in Fabrication-(Non welding) Cutting, Grinding, fitting of exterior components, creating & using templates
§ Teach & Train new employees and Teammates.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Perform set-up, material handling duties, and minor general maintenance.
§ Responsible for area housekeeping.
§ Participate in the processes of continuous improvement including efforts to meet company smart goals.
§ Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals.
§ Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures. Must be able to travel to jobsites both domestically and internationally; living accommodations in some foreign assignments may not meet expected U.S. standards.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITY/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
§ High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
§ Associates Degree in Electrical, Control Systems Technology, or a related field is strongly preferred.
§ At least four (4) years of panel building experience is required.
§ Ability to read blue prints, line and schematic drawings.
§ High Voltage AC and Low Voltage DC experience is required.
§ Strong math skills are required.
§ Experience with hand held tools and assembling parts is required.
§ Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management, in a team environment.
§ Ability to work flexible hours including, but not limited to, frequent and mandatory overtime, weekends, and some holidays are required.
