Job Title: Electrical Service Technician
Compensation: $30-$40/HR DO
Position Overview:
The Electrical Service Technician will serve as a vital team member, traveling to customer sites within Central Indiana to troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical systems. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong technical expertise and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial electrical components and wiring systems.
Lead small projects, including remodels, tenant finishes, and electrical upgrades.
Obtain vendor pricing and submit detailed repair part quotes and Service Work Orders through our Service Field App.
Enter accurate equipment, site, and customer data into the Service Field App.
Communicate professionally and effectively with customers on-site.
Collaborate with Dispatch and Service Support teams to ensure smooth operations.
Assist teammates with electrical troubleshooting, both in-person and remotely.
Participate in the 24-hour emergency on-call rotation.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by Dispatch or Management.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of commercial and/or industrial electrical service experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, building materials, tools, and machines.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building specifications.
Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Must prioritize safety and maintain a professional appearance.
Clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
Must be drug-free and willing to provide personal basic hand tools and meters.
Availability for after-hours emergency on-call rotations.
Physical Demands:
Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and lifting during the workday.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.
Exposure to extreme temperatures and outdoor weather conditions.
Ability to work on flat and slightly sloped roofs.
Drive and maintain a company service van.
