    As a Solar Electrical Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of electrical components and equipment used in solar energy projects. Your role will involve sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, while ensuring cost efficiency, quality standards, and timely delivery to meet project deadlines. You will work closely with the project management, engineering, and installation teams to ensure the successful implementation of solar energy systems.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Procurement Management:

    Identify and source electrical components and materials required for solar projects (e.g., inverters, PV modules, mounting systems, electrical cables, etc.).

    Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain competitive pricing, ensuring high-quality products and materials.

    Negotiate contracts and maintain supplier relationships to secure the best deals for the company.

    Monitor inventory levels and ensure that required materials are available for ongoing projects.

    Vendor Relations:

    Research and evaluate new suppliers, assessing their capabilities, financial stability, and quality standards.

    Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to ensure product availability, support, and quick resolution of any supply chain issues.

    Ensure suppliers comply with contractual terms, delivery timelines, and product specifications.

    Cost Management:

    Develop and manage procurement budgets for solar projects, ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions.

    Perform cost analysis, identify opportunities for cost savings, and negotiate bulk purchasing agreements to optimize project budgets.

    Prepare procurement forecasts and reports for management, including tracking spending against budgets.

    Logistics and Inventory:

    Oversee the logistics of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to project sites.

    Coordinate with logistics teams to manage the transportation and storage of equipment.

    Maintain an organized and efficient inventory management system to track and account for procured goods.

    Compliance & Quality Assurance:

    Ensure all procured products and materials comply with industry standards, local regulations, and safety requirements.

    Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure product specifications meet the technical and functional requirements of solar installations.

    Manage documentation related to procurement, contracts, and compliance audits.

    Collaboration and Communication:

    Work closely with the project management team to understand project timelines and requirements.

    Communicate regularly with engineering and installation teams to ensure that materials meet project needs.

    Provide technical support and advice on electrical components during the procurement process.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

    Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the renewable energy or solar industry.

    Strong knowledge of electrical components, solar systems, and industry standards.

    Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.

    Proficiency in procurement software, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Understanding of supply chain management and logistics related to solar projects.
