An established national consulting firm is hiring a Contract Electrician to install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines. This is an opportunity for someone that would like to start on a temporary basis with the potential to go direct.
The right candidate can expect a hourly rate between $28 - $31/hr. Successful candidates can expect at least 40+ hours a week Mon-Fri working 2nd shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm.

Qualifications:
• Must be a US citizen.
• This position requires driving, education must be verified.
• Successfully completed Electrical Apprenticeship Program or graduate of a certified technical school and achieved Journeyman status.
• 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 to 7 years related experience in a MANUFACTURING FACILITY - no residential
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.
• Trained on NFPA 70E, Aerial Lift / Boom lift Certified.
• Training in motor and motor controls, variable frequency drives, and PLC / BMS controls. Ability to read complex wiring diagrams, identify electrical components, and extensive knowledge in troubleshooting of control circuits. Must be well versed in the use of voltmeters, amp meters, ohm meters, meggers and amp-probes.
• Uses guidelines from the National Electrical Code, local codes, safety regulations and EMCOR standard practices. Wears PPE and ARC Flash equipment while performing live troubleshooting evolutions.
• Experience with industrial HVAC systems and switch gear.
Responsibilities:
• Ability to read and understand system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine configuration and purpose of system components such as compressors, motors, pumps, fans, switches, controls, ducts, or pipes.
• Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and building equipment. Connects power supply wires to machines and building equipment, connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, MCC circuits, variable frequency drives and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires, cables, and fuses.
• Dismantles malfunctioning systems and tests components.
• Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, sensors, motors, and positions sensing devices.
• Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
• Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities.
• Performs preventative maintenance tasking on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Second shift 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (30 minute lunch)
• Overtime required
