Qualifications
• Certified journeyman or master electrician
• Pass a background check
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, age 18 or older, valid driver’s license
with reliable transportation
• Have a good working knowledge of the tasks required to perform on all phases of
electrical work in accordance with the latest Local and National Electrical Codes
• Ability to work under adverse conditions, (heat, cold, inclement weather) and be able to perform manual type labor (digging, heavy lifting, etc.)
• Able to work at heights well above ground level from / out of various types of equipment
• Ability to establish and maintain effective, cooperative, team focused and positive relationships with leaders, teammates, other departments and the general public
• Knowledge of the materials, tools and equipment used in the work assigned
• Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions necessary in the work assigned
• Ability to understand and transmit verbal, written and digital instructions effectively and efficiently

Responsibilities
• The successful electrician will be part of a production-driven team, performing electrical installations and troubleshooting
• Work will consist of plan layout, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of electrical systems, light fixtures, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial, industrial, and residential electrical industry
• install new or modified electrical installations consistent with local and national code
• Plan electrical installations to minimize waste of materials
• Prepare and present sketches showing location of wiring
• Follow diagrams, blueprints and interpret specifications
• Supervise, lead, and train apprentices on crew
• Accountable for all equipment, materials, and tools on the work vehicle and job site
• Maintain all work sites clean and in order
• Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care of equipment and tools
• Work in all elements of weather depending on job location, time of year: heat, cold, and rain
• This position is responsible for installation of equipment and fixtures, such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers controllers and breaker boxes in accordance with blueprints, schematic drawings and sketches
• Inspect wiring and fixtures for conformance to specifications of local and national electrical codes is required
• Must have ability to test equipment, such as voltmeter and ohmmeter usage
• Must be available to work outside regular working hours when called upon to assist other on-call staff, serve as on-call staff on a rotating shift and when required
• Plans wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures, such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, controllers and fuse boxes in compliance with blueprints, schematic drawings and sketches
• Works from written work orders, oral instructions, blueprints, layouts, sketches, specifications, e-mails and digital communication
• Keeps accurate and detailed time and material records
