Pay Rate: $29.08/hr

Location: West Lafayette, IN 47907

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm (some OT may be required)

Electrician Responsibilities:

• Performs Electrical construction and Maintenance on raceways, panel boards, secondary switchgear, feeder circuits, distribution systems, transformers, portable and stationary generators and lighting systems.
• Perform electrical work from schematics and blue prints provided from University Engineering department.
• Perform preventive maintenance as dictated by schedules.
• Determines materials and equipment needed for performing Construction and Maintenance tasks and projects.
• Provides estimates for tasks.
• Research and order replacement parts.

Electrician Qualifications:

• HS diploma/GED
• 3 years of experience in electrical construction, electrical maintenance, electrical repair, or electrical trouble-shooting.
• Skills and experience working with secondary electrical systems, lighting systems, and conduit.
• Skills and experience working with transformers. Ability to read blue prints and schematics.
• Experience with control circuits, generators and PLC's.
