Electro-Mechanical Assembler
Pay: $22-28/hr.
Shift: Monday-Friday (7am to 4pm)
Description:
- Cannonball Recruiting is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler for a manufacturing facility in Santa Barbara, CA. An ideal candidate will have both electrical and mechanical assembly experience, but candidates that are stronger in one area (either electrical or mechanical) will be considered.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Soldering experience a plus.
Main Tasks:
- Mechanical tasks includes sanding, lapping, understanding mixing chemicals/ratios, encapsulation, reading drawings, torquing, etc.
- Electronic tasks include wiring, soldering, reading drawings, reading electrical schematics /wiring diagrams, cutting & tinning wires, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assembler must read and understand production drawings, assembly instructions, work orders, and sample assemblies. Must also be able to receive verbal instructions regarding duty assignments.
- Assembler crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
- Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel or printed wiring boards.
- Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
- Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
- Manufactures cables and wiring harnesses using copper wire, co-axial cable, twin-axial cable, and fiber-optic cable.
- Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
- Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
- Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.
- Performs online inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
