Electro-Mechanical Assembler
Pay: $18-25/hr.
Shift: 7am to 3:30pm (Mon-Fri)
Description:
- The Electrical and Mechanical Assembler position that requires Soldering and Assembly experience with a willingness to learn. Required to have the ability to understand engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and work instructions.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
- Soldering experience is required
- Ability to understand engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and work instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Assembler must read and understand production drawings, assembly instructions, work orders, and sample assemblies. Must also be able to receive verbal instructions regarding duty assignments.
- Assembler crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
- Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel or printed wiring boards.
- Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
- Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
- Manufactures cables and wiring harnesses using copper wire, co-axial cable, twin-axial cable, and fiber-optic cable.
- Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
- Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
- Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.
- Performs online inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
