Position Overview: We are seeking an Electro/Mechanical Technician to join our growing team in Seymour, CT. This role will involve working with inspection systems, performing hands-on integration, testing, troubleshooting, and assembly. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in both electrical and mechanical disciplines, and passionate about delivering high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, install, and maintain electro-mechanical systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.
Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections on equipment.
Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure proper system assembly and installation.
Assist in the development and modification of prototypes and systems.
Perform testing and calibration of electromechanical devices to ensure proper operation and functionality.
Provide support in the installation and setup of new machinery and systems.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Document all work completed, including troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and improve system performance.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or technical certification in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.
2+ years of experience in electro-mechanical system assembly, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols in an industrial environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods.
Manual dexterity to work with small components and tools.
