Pay Rate: $26.44/hr

Location: West Lafayette, IN 47907

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm (some OT may be required)

Electronics Technician Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain various electronic equipment and systems ensuring conformance to the National Electric Code, University codes and standards.
• Install raceway or support devices for cables.
• Perform repair and/or replace printed circuit boards.
• Perform planning and routing of cable, perform testing.
• Perform calibration of equipment and provide technical assistance to other crafts.
• Label devices and cables.
• Prepare records of cable and device installation.
• Research, order, track material and parts in SAP.
• Install equipment racks and terminals. Prepare wiring closets for other departments.

Electronics Technician Qualifications:

• Three or more years’ experience in electronic installation, testing and maintenance of alarm systems and/or control systems including video and/or television.
• Able to utilize electronic procurement system.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 to 80 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. or more occasionally required.
