Electronics Test Engineer
Direct Hire | Fridley, MN | $85k - $120K
This role, reporting to the Electronic Test Manager within the Manufacturing Modules Department, is responsible for developing and executing test plans for PCB assemblies, creating test fixtures, writing scripts, troubleshooting test equipment, and collaborating with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve production issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement test plans for PCB assemblies.
- Design test fixtures, circuits, and process documentation.
- Write scripts for automated tests and data collection.
- Investigate PCB failures and collaborate on solutions.
- Participate in PCB and electro-mechanical design reviews and test program creation.
- Analyze data to drive improvements in yield, test time, and cost.
- Troubleshoot test equipment, units, and fixtures.
- Produce BOMs, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of test engineering experience.
- Proficient with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, etc.).
- Strong planning, organizing, and task coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in PYTHON, .NET, or C/C++ programming and debugging.
- Knowledge of electronics test techniques and troubleshooting to the component level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing and debugging software in .NET.
- Fluency in multiple scripting languages.
- Experience with high-voltage circuits.
- Familiarity with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
- Experience in developing test platforms and designing test hardware.
- Strong computer networking skills and GIT familiarity.
- Soldering skills and knowledge of J-STD standards.
