Join our super fun and creative art studio!

Primary duties will include:

*assisting talented artists with intellectual/developmental disabilities in growing their skills and achieving their artistic goals

*leading groups out into the community for arts-related adventures, exploring and nature walks

maintaining a positive and welcoming community

• Teaching empowerment through communication and self-advocacy

Requirements:

*comfortable leading a group of up to five artists independently in the studio or out in the community

*comfortable working with people with disabilities and their unique abilities

*experience with art and the contemporary art scene in Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region

*creative problem solving skills

*excellent communication skills

*valid Colorado Drivers License, with clean driving record, and ability to drive a 7 passenger mini-van

*ability to write daily notes (we will train)

*able to pass a backround check

*being punctual and responsible

*willing to receive training

*be a team player

Preferred:

*Bachelor of Fine Arts

*training/experience related to working with people with disabilities

*ASL fluency or familiarity
