SUMMARY Elevator Mechanic is responsible for service and repair of commercial and residential elevators.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Servicing and repairing commercial and home elevators: Able to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical parts Timely completion of assigned preventative maintenance Daily closing of assigned tickets with accurate information. Communication on elevator status with on-site personnel. Understanding the use of PPE and all safety rules Understanding of wiring diagrams
Elevator Mechanic Requirements: • High school diploma or GED. • Relevant mechanical certification. - Elevator Mechanic License preferred • Previous work experience as an elevator mechanic. • Advanced knowledge of elevator systems, mechanical walkways, and escalators. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints. • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions. • Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects. • Ability to travel and work after hours when required.
