The Emergency Veterinarian will provide immediate and comprehensive care to animals experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies. This role requires strong diagnostic and treatment skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a commitment to client communication. Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating and treating animals presenting with a variety of emergencies, including trauma, acute illnesses, and critical conditions.
- Performing physical examinations, diagnosing medical conditions, and developing treatment plans.
- Performing emergency procedures, such as CPR, airway management, and wound care.
- Administering medications and providing supportive care.
- Collaborating with other veterinarians and specialists to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Communicating effectively with clients, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses with empathy and clarity.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records.
- Working efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to perform abdominal and cardiac ultrasound is a huge plus.
- The ability to perform ER surgeries is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree.
- License to practice in the state of Texas
- Completion of a rotating internship or equivalent experience in emergency medicine is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of emergency medicine principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. 1

- Dedicated suites for minimally invasive orthopedic, general orthopedic, and soft tissue surgeries.

- State-of-the-art oxygen cages.
- Anesthesia units with integrated ventilators.
- Separate gastrointestinal and respiratory isolation units.
