    Job Description

    The ** Employee Success Navigator **reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

    This position is responsible for working with targeted new hires who may have unique challenges and barriers to employment retention by providing career coaching, wraparound support and essential skill development. The Employee Success Coach will help new employees overcome challenges during their first 180 days.

    Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrates Values and Service Excellence

      • Maintains frequent contact with an active caseload of newly hired employees and conducts regular one-on-one sessions both in-person and virtually.
      • Serves as a role model and coach to others; builds partnerships and teams.
      • Assists employees in creating career development plans and identifying barriers to employment goals. Motivates and guides team members in meeting the goals laid out in their plans.
      • Conducts assessments, establishes appropriate plans and initiates job coaching and wraparound support plans. Develops processes for assessment and coaching in partnership with Talent Acquisition, Community Affairs and Talent Development.
      • Provides coaching support for team members in emergent or crisis situations and connects to internal or external NM Partnerships and resources.
      • Partners with community-based organizations, workforce-investment boards, social service support agencies and others to help employees access supports including but not limited to: transportation, housing, food, appropriate work clothing, mental health and financial well-being resources
      • Provides education to team members on career growth and development, essential skills, educational assistance, post-secondary education, work-based learning and other career navigation services..
      • Assists with various other team programs and events including youth programming and community recruitment and retention efforts.
    • Reporting and metrics:

      • Maintains accurate and timely case documentation on targeted new employee caseload.
      • Works with NM Analytics department to develop and distribute retention reporting and dashboards utilizing NM’s reporting tools.
      • Creates and completes ad-hoc reports and presentations as requested by internal customers and departments.
      • Meets with assigned departments, leadership teams, or other internal stakeholders to review employee and manager performance and create and manage improvement plans.
    • Works with NM system functions to implement programs and initiatives that support improving the new employee experience (NM Academy, HR, Process Improvement, Analytics, etc.)

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    _ Required:_

    • Minimum of three years of experience in workforce development, career counseling, employment coaching or social services.
    • Bachelor’s Degree or four additional years of experience in Workforce Development, Human Resources, Vocational Rehabilitation, Social Work, Counseling or Related Fields
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
    • Prior experience working with diverse populations that include youth, those with disabilities, returning citizens / justice involved or other high-barrier populations
    • Knowledge of local community-based organizations or government agencies
    • Ability to engage high-barrier populations in training and coaching.
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze and manipulate various data sources
    • Solid presentation skills with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
    • Proven software competencies (Excel, Power Point, Access); highly skilled in Excel
    • Flexible/adaptable – ability to work with diverse group of healthcare professionals in a matrix environment. Great team player.

    Preferred:

    • Master’s Degree in relevant field
    • Experience working as a job coach, job developer or with other direct support roles for job seekers preferred.
    • Knowledge of WIOA and other publicly available funding preferred.
    • Prior knowledge of healthcare related careers and educational paths preferred
