Employment Attorney Position FairLaw Firm is hiring an associate attorney for an in-office position to handle a variety of employment litigation cases (and some non-litigation issues). The ideal candidate will have experience litigating cases in Florida state and federal courts, preferably involving employment law issues. Typical cases involve wage claims under Florida and federal law, discrimination and retaliation claims, and restrictive covenants, to name a few. Responsibilities: • Meeting with new and existing clients; • Arguing at court hearings; • Negotiating potential case settlements at mediations and settlement conferences; • Legal research and factual analysis to develop case strategies and arguments; • Assessing potential case outcomes; • Conducting depositions, witness interviews, and client consultations; • Advising and counseling clients; The ideal attorney will be willing to learn, work hard, work well with others, and be able to adapt to new challenges. Qualifications: • Member of The Florida Bar in good standing • At least one year working as an attorney in a law firm • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet all deadlines • Proficient with Mac computers, MS Word/Excel, Adobe, Slack, and Zoom • Bilingual (English and Spanish) helpful Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 Depending on experience yearly
