A specialized Temecula law firm is seeking an Employment Attorney to complement its thriving employer-side employment department. If you have at least 2 years’ experience advising California employers on employment matters, or defending them from California labor law claims, and if you are looking for a professional home that offers fulfilling work, a supportive and stimulating environment, a reasonable workload, and the chance to help guide the trajectory of a thriving small business while directly benefitting from that success, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities: • Interface with new and existing clients and collaborate with our legal team to manage cases from beginning to end. • Review and customize legal documents related to employment, such as contracts, policies and procedures, and separation agreements. • Collaborate with the legal team on all aspects of a client’s matter, including expert advice, strategy, and representation in employment-related legal matters in court, mediations, and depositions. • Minimum billed and collected hours: 1,450 per year for full-time (we expect high-quality work). • Origination is not required, but is encouraged and rewarded. Qualifications: • A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. • Active membership in good standing in the State Bar of California. • A minimum of 2 years’ California employment law experience actively working with clients and litigating in California state courts. Federal court experience is a plus. • Honest, confident, and independent self-starter. • Superior analytical and negotiation skills. • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. Compensation: $110,000 - $150,000 yearly
