  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Meets with participants to identify barriers and challenges to employment and develop strategies to manage these issues.
    • Maintains complete, accurate and timely case notes and related records in manual and electronic systems.
    • Outreach to referrals who fail to show for appointments
    • Create, update and ensure completion of plans according to contract deadlines.
    • Refer participants to appropriate agencies for specialized services and/or counseling
    • Attends schedules supervision meetings to discuss participants’ progress.
    • Utilize county and company computer data processing systems to efficiently track and record participant activity
    • Complete all necessary case management documentation and forms; maintain records and files; and schedules appointments
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field and minimum of two years of work experience in related field or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience

    • Qualifications:

    • Strong communication skills

    • Knowledge about community resources

    • Able to work with and relate to participants and be culturally sensitive

    • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

    • Must be computer literate and have Microsoft (MS) Word and Excel skills at a minimum and the ability to learn specialized databases and software

    • Working knowledge of the CalWORKs program and Welfare-to-Work component is preferred

    • Bilingual a plus

    • License/Certification:

    • Valid driver’s license from state of residence with a satisfactory driving record as defined by Company vehicle policy and/or liability insurance carrier (as applicable per program requirements)

    Additional Information

    • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
    • Demonstrated excellent leadership skills
    • Capable of working responsibly with highly confidential information

    Must meet all program requirements for pre- employment as required by Company and/or State regulations.

    Physical demands:

    • The ability to stand and or walk continuously.
    • The ability to bend, stoop, crouch, squat, push, pull and reach above head frequently.
    • The ability to use both hands for continuous grasping and for occasional fine manipulation and fingering (for example: use of a computer and or imaging equipment.)
    • The physical ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds.

    Payrate:

    Hourly range: $23.00 - $25.00
