Position: Employment Counselor/Job Coach
Locations hiring: Monmouth, Ocean, and Middlesex County, New Jersey (you’ll be assigned to a specific county)
Salary: $42,500/year + benefits + paid training

SUMMARY:
As an Employment Counselor/Job Coach, you’ll work directly with adults with disabilities, helping them explore careers, develop workplace skills, and succeed in their jobs. You’ll be out in the community — supporting clients at job sites, meeting with employers, and working closely with schools and referral agencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work 1-on-1 with clients to understand their career goals and help them reach them.
Travel throughout the assigned county using your own vehicle.
Provide on-the-job coaching, training, and long-term support.
Help clients adjust to workplace routines, follow company policies, and build job skills.
Guide clients in workplace communication, conflict resolution, and self-advocacy.
Maintain regular communication with schools, DVRS/DDD counselors, and employers.
Keep accurate case notes and reports to meet agency and funding requirements.
Attend team meetings and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must live in or near one of the counties listed above and be willing to travel within that county (mileage reimbursed).
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or 2+ years of experience in a related field
Valid driver’s license in good standing
Reliable transportation to travel throughout the assigned county
Passion and a strong work ethic
A QUALIFIED CANDIDATE IS:

Experienced working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD).
A strong communicator (verbally and written) and has interpersonal skills.
Proficient with technology and is able to complete documentation and communication digitally.
