Employment Litigation Associate (Boutique Law Firm)

Our client, a respected boutique firm in Seattle, is seeking a Litigation Associate to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for an attorney who wants more ownership, direct client contact, and a long-term path to growth.
While employment law experience is preferred, the firm is open to strong litigators—especially those in medical malpractice, family law, or labor—who are looking to pivot into employment law. With hands-on mentorship and a collaborative team, they’ll support your transition every step of the way.

Employment Litigation Associate Responsibilities:
- Represent both employers and employees in single-plaintiff and class/collective action employment litigation
- Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
- Conduct legal research and fact investigations
- Appear at court conferences, hearings, and mediations
- Prepare and respond to discovery, including depositions
- Draft position statements and respond to agency investigations (EEOC, WA L&I, etc.)
- Counsel clients on a range of employment law issues including workplace policies, terminations, accommodations, and wage & hour compliance
Employment Litigation Associate Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing in Washington State (or eligible to waive in)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and client relationships
- Prior experience handling matters before Washington state courts or administrative agencies is a plus
- A collaborative mindset and interest in contributing to firm-wide initiatives, writing, and speaking engagements

Compensation: $135,000 - $175,000+ (DOE)
