My employment law firm is looking to add another attorney and actively advise and represent clients in pre-litigation, litigation, and arbitration matters. My firm is seeking to hire an attorney to manage an active caseload of employment law matters. Most of the firms' work is for employees/plaintiffs while also advising, counseling, and representing businesses and defendants. Typical cases often involve wages, discrimination, harassment, restrictive covenants, and retaliation. The position will involve significant client interaction, legal research, drafting, taking and defending depositions, handling hearings and mediations, and participating in trial preparation and trials. The ideal attorney will be self-motivated, organized, efficient, personable, an effective communicator, and comfortable working in a small office environment. The firm's office is in Coral Gables, close to Merrick Park, and has covered parking. It is nicely appointed, quiet, and clean and provides a professional work environment. Responsibilities: • Conduct legal research and analysis to support employment litigation cases • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations • Interact with clients on employment law matters • Manage caseload and deadlines efficiently to ensure timely resolution of cases • Appear in state and federal court proceedings Qualifications: • Must be a member of The Florida Bar in good standing • Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience • Worked in a law firm as an attorney for at least a year • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple cases, and meet deadlines • Proficient with Mac computers, MS Word/Excel, Adobe, Slack/Teams, Zoom, and case management software • Relentless drive for legal research • Bilingual (English and Spanish) helpful Compensation: $90,000 - Based on Experience
