Employment Senior Associate or Of Counsel – California (Irvine, Los Angeles, San Diego)
Our client, a highly regarded law firm, is seeking an Employment Law Associate or Of Counsel with 7+ years of experience to join their team in Irvine, Los Angeles, or San Diego. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned employment attorney to provide day-to-day legal counsel to employers, develop workplace policies, and lead complex employment matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise employers on day-to-day employment law issues, ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws
- Draft and review employment policies and procedures, including handbooks and workplace policies
- Handle ADA and FMLA matters, providing guidance on accommodations and leave management
- Draft and negotiate employment contracts, restrictive covenants, and severance agreements
- Conduct workplace investigations and provide management and employee training on employment law matters
- Provide proactive legal counsel to minimize risk and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active admission to the California Bar is required
- Minimum of 7 years of employment law experience, with a focus on counseling employers and policy development
- Strong writing and analytical skills, with experience drafting employment-related contracts and policies
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively within a team
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $260,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications)
