Labor & Employment Counsel/Senior Counsel – Houston, TX
Our client, a global law firm with a strategic industry-focused approach, is seeking a Counsel or Senior Counsel to join their Labor & Employment practice in Houston, TX. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile employment litigation and advisory matters, collaborating with a prestigious, collegial, and innovative legal team.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active bar membership in Texas (must be in good standing)
- 3+ years of experience for Counsel and 7+ years of experience for Senior Counsel
- Extensive knowledge of federal and Texas employment laws
- Experience managing complex employment litigation cases in state and federal courts
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and case management skills
- Ability to handle a high-volume caseload with attention to detail and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
Compensation & Career Advancement:
- Counsel: $180,000 - $200,000
- Senior Counsel: $250,000 - $265,000
- Promotion Opportunities – Counsel can advance to Senior Counsel, and Senior Counsel can be considered for Partnership based on performance, contributions, and firm needs

- Senior Associates, Associates, and Sr. Counsel – Expected in-office at least 2 days per week
- Counsel, Staff Counsel, and Patent Agents – Expected in-office at least 1 day per week
