  • Responsibilities

    Seeking an Engineer Associate to manage and distribute engineering documents across departments, ensuring accurate record-keeping and control of product specifications. This role is responsible for preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering specifications, and part information while coordinating engineering changes and supporting product development efforts.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide engineering documents, including Bills of Materials, manufacturing drawings, specification sheets, part details, and engineering change orders.
    • Maintain and control engineering data files, vendor quotes, and part numbering systems.
    • Coordinate engineering changes with relevant departments to ensure seamless implementation.
    • Assist Purchasing by providing required information for material and parts procurement.
    • Prepare estimates and prototypes , coordinating procurement when necessary.
    • Review engineering drawings for errors and apply corrective measures.
    • Support manufacturing process improvements , cost reduction initiatives, and standardization efforts, conducting time studies as needed.
    • Conduct engineering and sales research projects as assigned.
    • Assist design and manufacturing engineers in achieving departmental goals related to product quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
    • Operate and maintain 3D printers , ordering supplies and collaborating with engineers and drafting teams on prototype and production parts.
    • Communicate with vendors to identify cost-saving and product development opportunities.
    • Cross-train within the department to support various engineering functions.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate’s Degree in a technical or mechanical field required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    • Minimum one year of experience in engineering or a related field.
    • Experience in fluid power industry and/or manufacturing is a plus.
    • Proficiency in SolidWorks/CAD and 3D printing preferred.
    • Experience with SAP is a plus.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Access.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in data entry.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints from both manual and CAD files.
    • Occasional travel may be required.

    Preferred Certifications:

    • Mechatronics or fluid power certification (or willingness to obtain).

    Other Requirements:

    • Proficiency in ERP software, spreadsheet applications, and word processing tools.

    Salary info:

    $26 - $30 / hr
