Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 8 - 10 years of practical experience in construction engineering or related areas. An Associate's degree and 10 - 12 years of practical experience would be considered equivalent. A high school diploma and 12 - 16 years of practical experience would also be considered equivalent.

Top Skills & Years of Experience:

\- A general knowledge of system testing and operations is helpful to ensure system turnover scope is adequate in regard to pre-operational testing.

\- Training in planning and scheduling is beneficial to appreciate the planning and scheduling outputs.

\- Leadership training is essential ingredient in methods of improvement, total quality, and re-engineering.

Nice to Have:

\- Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.

\- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a construction engineer specializing in concrete and structural reinforcement work on a project in the nuclear industry.

\- Minimum of one project experience of NQA-1 pedigree requirements for civil/structural scope.

\- Minimum of 3 years as a lead construction engineer with matrixed or direct report employees.

\- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge OR certification in American Concrete Institute (ACI) and Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI) standards
