Description of Duties: Primarily to manage projects on which B2R is contracted as a consultant in the role of owner’s rep or project manager to provide direction and oversight on behalf of clients on design and/or construction projects. Currently projects are primarily capital repair and replacement projects for HOA boards. Future projects are anticipated to include commercial real estate on behalf of institutional owners.
Responsibilities Include: Interface with clients to understand project objectives and requirements
Interface with architects and engineers to convey project objectives and review resulting work for adherence to objectives Perform site visits to observe and document construction progress
Assist in resolving issues during construction
Review contractor billing and change order requests and make recommendations to client regarding approvals
Assist in preparation of proposals for new projects
Assist in other capacities for B2R as needed to the extent qualified, to include:
Balcony inspections and reports
Property condition assessments
Construction forensic consulting services

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
Five years of experience in construction, construction management, architecture, or engineering industry Understanding of construction techniques and standards Ability to evaluate conditions of building components by visual inspection Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail oriented Ability to independently research building materials and issues Problem solving and detailed evaluation skills Excellent computer skills with MS Office software Ability to travel as needed
Education: Bachelors Degree in Architecture/Engineering or other Construction related field
