Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Engineering Intern to be based in Pittsburgh, PA.

This position is expected to begin in Fall 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Provide support to the roadway, structures, and traffic engineering groups on highway design projects.
• The intern will work under the direction of engineers to support design staff on engineering calculations, quantity calculations, cost estimates, construction plans, and supporting materials
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based, collaborative environment

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and must have completed at least 1 of years of study. Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Capable of creating spreadsheets using Excel, MS Word and standard office software
• Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as MicroStation, InRoads, and OpenRoads)
• Good communication, organizational and analytical skills
