Engineering Manager

THEN READ ON! In this role you will oversee product engineering operations and ensure that proper engineering procedures are followed.
Immediate opening for a Engineering Manager (Mechanical) in Orange County who possesses:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, preferred ;
- At least ten years of related Engineering experience required.
- At least 3 year of related Engineering Supervision Experience require
- Excellent Mechanical Product Design Experience, focused on component and dynamic motion assembly design. Experience with linear motion preferred.
- Excellent Manufacturing experience, with aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and composites. Experience with aluminum extrusion, roll forming, are preferred.
- Preferred Experience with Sheet Metal, CNC Machining, Painting, Assembly, Welding, and Metrology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive technical knowledge of engineering and product development.
- Excellent financial skills and ability to analyze financial data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Preferred Experience with Aerospace and Defense Industries and Military specifications.
- Must be US Citizen
- Must be able to travel to Mexico
- Travel 25% or as needed
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage New Product Development Process from concept to testing to production.
- Oversees progress and timeliness of projects, as directed by sales in alignment with customer requirements.
- Reviews project reports to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget, working with costing team on reducing costs and improving designs for manufacturability.
- Oversee AS9100 Compliance in regards to Engineering Processes
- Engage with Sales team and customer on large Scale Critical Projects
- Traveling to Mexicali Mexico to support Production Facility on New Product Implementation, Customer Visits, and interfacing with Mexico Design team.
- Become an Industry Expert on Linear Motion devices, with excellent knowledge of competitors products.
- Collaborate with other manufacturing sites inside the greater organization.
- Lead internal process improvement efforts to reduce costs and increase turn around time.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Compensation:
- $155-165K Base
