  • Responsibilities

    Summary : Directs and coordinates activities of engineering department to manufacture components / products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

    • Manages Engineering, and technical operations of the organization, supervising engineering projects and personnel.
    • Supervises product realization planning and manufacturing processes. Assist departments to modify existing methods, improve production techniques, and develop procedures.
    • Review cost estimating including methods, quotes and follow up on cost analysis.
    • Resolves problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts.
    • Investigates and resolves unique and complex manufacturing problems related to product realization.
    • Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations and develops recommendations accordingly.
    • Provide support and technical assistance to Production, Quality and IT Departments.
    • Will work with customers directly on Product Development / Improvement and work closely with vendors.
    • Represent Engineering Department in all Production, Planning (router review) and Quality (MRB, NCR, RC/CA, ECO’s etc.) meetings.

    • 10 years machining experience.

    • Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Presents numerical data effectively.

    Qualifications : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    Education/Experience:

    Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

    Math Ability:

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints or other engineering documents, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance requirements.

    Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software and Manufacturing software.
