Konik is partnering with a local manufacturing company that is looking to add an Applications Engineering Manager to their growing team. This leadership role demands a blend of technical acumen, strategic insight, and business expertise to guide the team through solution development, implementation, and optimization while fostering enduring client relationships.
Applications Engineering Manager Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for client solution implementation, addressing scope, resources, timelines, and prioritization.
- Establish and communicate a clear team vision while driving business growth through technical innovation.
- Lead, mentor, and empower application engineers by fostering a culture of continuous learning and performance excellence.
- Evaluate and refine internal processes, tools, and methodologies for enhanced operational efficiency.
- Promote best practices for documentation, knowledge sharing, and ongoing technical support.
- People-centered leadership: Inspire by example, demonstrating integrity, empathy, and a commitment to personal and team growth.
- Innovation & Excellence: Foster a fearless approach to innovation and problem-solving.
- Deliver ongoing coaching, training, and constructive feedback to elevate team capabilities.
- Manage project workloads, ensuring tasks are properly distributed and deadlines consistently met.
- Promote collaboration within and across teams to maintain high productivity and shared ownership of outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships through proactive engagement and transparent communication.
Applications Engineering Manager Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience managing Sales Engineering or Technical Sales teams, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency with CAD tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
- Strong CRM experience, ideally with Salesforce.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities paired with a client-focused outlook.
- Team leadership and professional development.
- Project management and operational coordination.
- Technical proficiency in design and engineering applications.
- Analytical thinking and effective problem resolution.
