Job Description

Directly supervises employees in the Engineering department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

As an Engineering Manager, you will:

• Directs workers engaged in painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies
• Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards
• Studies production schedules and estimates worker-hour requirements for completion of job assignments
• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of work crew.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
• Maintains time and production records
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments

To perform this job successfully, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Additionally, the person must possess and adhere to the following core values:

Qualifications

• Valid state Driver’s License
• At least 3 years of leadership experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive and service-oriented manner
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor weather conditions
