In this role you will be required to demonstrate strong leadership and technical expertise, with a focus on ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high standards of quality. The Engineering Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and operations, to achieve company goals.

    Immediate opening for a Engineering Manager in Philadelphia who possesses:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
    • 10+ years of experience in computer hardware design & development or engineering roles, with at least 3+ years in a managerial position.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing and scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong background in PCB design, mechanical engineering, system design, and development processes.
    • Experience with PCB & highspeed backplane design
    • Familiarity rugged packaging design to meet MIL-STDs for shock, vibration, EMC, etc. (901, 810, 167, 461, etc.)
    • Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
    • A passion for innovation, technology, and creating high-impact solutions.

    Key Responsibilities include:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to deliver high-quality Embedded Computing solutions.
    • Provide guidance, training, and career development opportunities to team members.
    • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture focused on innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
    • Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and team feedback sessions.
    • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
    • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and timelines.
    • Ensure timely delivery of engineering milestones, within budget and scope.
    • Track and manage the team’s progress, providing regular updates to senior leadership and sales on project status, risks, and blockers.
    • Provide technical expertise and direction to the engineering team, helping solve complex technical challenges.
    • Establish standardized design methodologies with a focus on developing modular, re-usable sub-components to allow for scaling of product solutions.
    • Review and approve designs, to maintain consistency and high standards.
    • Lead technical discussions and decision-making, ensuring the team adheres to architectural guidelines and methodologies.
    • Work closely with project management, QA, and operations teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of projects.
    • Facilitate communication between engineering and other departments to ensure a clear understanding of project goals, priorities, and deadlines.
    • Address and resolve conflicts, ambiguities, or trade-offs that arise during project execution.
    • Continuously assess and improve engineering processes to increase efficiency, quality, and collaboration.
    • Advocate for automation, testing, and development processes that ensure high-quality and reliable product delivery.
    • Implement agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to optimize team performance and productivity.
    • Contribute to the long-term vision and strategy for the engineering team and broader technology organization.
    • Help define engineering goals and ensure they align with the company’s objectives and priorities.
    • Be a champion for innovation and drive the adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies.

    Compensation:
