    Position Summary: Configures and integrates electronic and mechanical hardware with software products in a manufacturing environment.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Coordinates the engineering and development of a laser table electrical system

    Provides guidance to maintenance staff during installation and maintenance of laser system

    Provides assistance for all electronic/mechanical test equipment

    Assists in the design of software for test/manufacturing equipment

    Calibrates all electrical equipment used for production and testing of materials

    Performs other inherent duties related to but not limited to the above

    Education and Experience Requirements

    B.S. in engineering discipline

    Minimum of 5 years related experience

    Must be proficient in Labview, Windows XP systems and visual programming languages

    OMRON/PMAC as well as PLC programming and implementation experience preferred

    Factory Equipment Safety Standards

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    Must have problem solving skills

    Must be analytical and innovative

    Must be computer literate with experience in word processing, spread sheets and data bases

    AutoCAD or equivalent experience preferred

    Must be able to multi-task and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for communication with all levels of the organization, customers and vendors

    Physical Requirements

    Finger, hand and arm dexterity necessary for preparing and maintaining reports and files and for computer keyboarding

    Visual acuity necessary to identify electrical and mechanical defects and to read blueprints and schematics

    Listening skills crucial for communicating with staff, customers and vendors

    Must be able to sit for extended periods of time

    Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs on a routine basis

    Ability to kneel, stoop, bend at waist and crouch when troubleshooting equipment
