  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for a Test Engineer - Low Voltage Products to join our growing team in Grand Prairie, TX for 2nd or 3rd shift.

    2nd Shift: 4:30 PM to 12:30 AM after training on 1st shift (approximately 3 months)

    3rd Shift: 11 PM to 7 AM after training on 1st shift (approximately 3 months)

    You’ll make an impact by:

    • Maintaining quality of high custom and sophisticated products for Electrical Products; testing and inspecting Low Voltage Switchgear and Switchboards to applicable standards (i.e. UL1558, UL891, IEEE, etc)

    • Use multi meter and electronic theory to verify power readings and circuit design to ensure proper wiring and operation.

    • Use Hipot, test card, hand tools and various other tools to aid in testing.

    • Use specialized software for testing/inspecting when required (i.e. Siemens WinPM, Step 7, MicroWin, WinC Flexible, SAP, etc.)

    • Perform inspections/audits of mechanical and electrical assemblies.

    • Maintain and input records or reports related to testing/inspecting activities.

    You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma/GED

    • 2+ years exposure to electrical components or knowledge of electrical components.

    • Ability to read schematics.

    • Ability/Experience testing and troubleshooting; strong problem solving.

    • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.

    • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Associate Degree

    • 2+ years in capacity of engineering or quality functions for power distribution equipment.

    • Knowledge of prevailing codes (UL1558, UL891, UL508).

    • Knowledge of power distribution components (breakers, relays, communicating devices)
