Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering and Technical Service Manager to lead our team of Service Engineers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in engineering combined with exceptional leadership and managerial skills. They will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality service to our customers, managing technical support operations, and providing expert training and guidance to our engineering team. This role requires a proactive and strategic individual who can effectively manage a team and drive business growth through technical excellence.
Responsibilities:
Service Management:
Lead the service engineering team to ensure timely and effective delivery of services to customers.
Develop and maintain service standards and procedures to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Monitor customer satisfaction levels and implement strategies to address any issues or concerns.
Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex customer issues and escalations.
Identify opportunities to enhance service offerings and improve customer experience.
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and standards.
Stay updated on the latest engineering trends, technologies, and methodologies, and incorporate them into our service offerings.
Conduct technical training sessions for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service delivery processes.
Act as a technical advisor to customers, providing expert guidance and solutions to meet their engineering needs.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and mentor service engineers to ensure a high-performing team.
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members to support their professional development.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
Set clear expectations and goals for team members and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Lead by example and promote a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and customer focus.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
Understand customer engineering requirements and provide customized solutions to meet their business objectives.
Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, providing expert guidance throughout the service process.
Proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional engineering products and services.
Address customer inquiries, complaints, and technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
