    POSITION SUMMARY

    Currently accepting applications for a English LanguageTeacher. Teacher will teach a full load of classes and participate in duties and responsibilities as assigned, including work on Diversity, Equality, Inclusion and Belonging.

    Responsibilities:
    ● Teaches English classes
    ● Works closely with students to help them develop critical thinking and research skills.
    ● Evaluates student progress through a variety of assessment modes.
    ● Maintains student records, including online grades.
    ● Implements a wide array of classroom activities to address multiple learning styles.
    ● Communicates regularly with student-support team members: parents, teachers, student services, deans, and other administrators.
    ● Provides ongoing student feedback, both informal and formal, including written narrative evaluations.
    ● Meets with students and families, as needed.
    ● Treats students equitably, is sincerely interested in them as individuals, and responds to their needs.
    ● May serve as an Advisor to a grade-level group of students.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    ● Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years of English teaching experience desired;
    ● Maintains high quality standards and pays rigorous attention to details;
    ● Excellent interpersonal communication skills; possesses curiosity and has an enthusiasm for learning; and
    ● Passion to find and creatively tell stories in a variety of styles and forms (published articles, social media posts, and email campaigns);
    ● Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and social justice both in and out of the classroom; and
    ● Positive attitude, flexible approach, and ability to develop close working relationships with students and colleagues.
