    Position Overview:

    The Enrober Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining enrobing machines that coat products with ingredients such as chocolate, coatings, or other substances. This role ensures that the products are enrobed consistently and meet quality standards. Scheduled hours for this 3rd shift position are 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM. The pay rate for the Enrober Operator starts at $21.50/hr.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Machine Operation:

      • Operate enrober machines to coat products with specified ingredients.
      • Set up and adjust machine settings according to production requirements.
      • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal operation.
    • Quality Control:

      • Inspect coated products for quality and consistency.
      • Ensure that coating thickness and appearance meet company standards.
      • Perform routine checks and maintain records of quality control measures.
    • Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

      • Perform routine maintenance on enrober machines, including cleaning and lubrication.
      • Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions.
      • Report major issues to maintenance personnel or supervisors.
    • Safety and Compliance:

      • Adhere to all safety protocols and operational guidelines.
      • Complete and maintain accurate records of documented inspections, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards
      • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
      • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    • Production Efficiency:

      • Monitor production output and adjust machine settings to maximize efficiency.
      • Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
    • Documentation and Reporting:

      • Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and quality control results.
      • Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors in a timely manner.
    • Training and Support:

      • Train new operators or assist in the training of team members as needed.
      • Provide support and guidance to other staff members regarding machine operation and troubleshooting.
      • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or production manager to support the team and ensure efficient operations.

    Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

    • Basic mechanical and technical skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret production orders, specifications, and machine manuals.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
    • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

    Education & Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training is a plus.
    • Previous experience in machine operation in a food manufacturing environment.

    Work Environment:

    Production facility setting.

    • Must wear required PPE while in all manufacturing areas.
    • Moving parts and machinery are present in the plant.

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to stand for extended periods.
    • Occasional ability to lift up to 50lbs.
    • Ability to physically perform functions of repetitive motion, grasping, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, balancing, and climbing.
    • Noise levels will vary, higher noise levels exist while in the plant operations areas.
