    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Enterprise Cloud Architect - AWS.

    In this role, the successful candidate will report to the Chief Technology Officer. The Enterprise Cloud Architect is responsible for Cloud technology strategy to drive implementation of emerging technologies and operationalizing best practices within the respective technology domain. This will enable NYU Langone Health to become a world class integrated academic medical center and a nationally acknowledged leader in IT. The Architect will have responsibility for the following areas:

    · Establishes architecture strategy and engages with domain leaders to align architecture strategy with the organization’s priorities.

    · Researches and identifies required architecture components and/or frameworks that may span multiple products or areas of technology

    · Develop architectural principles and design cloud solution implementation detailed document

    · Provides technical expertise on multiple areas of underlying technologies platforms and subject matter relating to product or infrastructure architecture

    · Gathers and analyzes technical and industry related trends and evaluates technological advances and various third-party products and tools

    · Ensures current technical assets are leveraged and sets the architectural direction of future product offerings

    · Designs target state Cloud Architecture partnering with other areas such as Cloud Network Architects, Cloud Data Architects, Cloud Security Architects and Cloud Engineering and Development teams

    · Builds Reusable Patterns for application development in the public cloud to deploy and modernize applications influence domain specific application teams on roadmaps and designs

    · Ensures all Infrastructure leaders buy in to the design solution develop RACI Will require to participate and review technology solution Implementation assessments at the Architecture Governance Forum

    · Provide internal consulting to ensure all areas are practicing sound architecture hygiene

    · Translates complex ideas technology and programs into language senior management can relate to and performs as a key influencer on technical decisions that affect the business on a long term basis

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Develop and promote data management methodologies and standards Select and implement the appropriate tools software applications and systems to support data technology goals
    • Act as key strategic advisor to MCIT Leadership Team IT Architecture council and other key stakeholders regarding Technology and Information strategy and trends EA and Best Practices/Governance
    • Ensure architecture as a core competency within NYULMC by driving necessary architecture related training programs and communication within MCIT as well as with other stakeholders within NYULMC
    • Develop and deliver long term strategic goals for enterprise architecture vision and standards in conjunction with business partners IT and other key stakeholders
    • Define the target enterprise architecture at NYULMC using standard Enterprise Architecture frameworks methodologies and artifacts
    • Establish relevant Measurements and Metrics to manage Enterprise Architecture program Establish and lead Architecture governance program
    • Ensure the success of enterprise level application rollouts Identify and develop opportunities for data and application reuse migration or retirement
    • Assist project teams to select the products or services that best meet NYULMC goals
    • Define and Manage Technical standards and roadmaps for various technology domains Create short term tactical solutions to achieve long term objectives and an overall enterprise architecture roadmap
    • Develop and deliver application portfolio rationalization program to support 2013 2014 planning cycle
    • Provide expertise in the development of work flow driven IT strategy in conjunction with Enterprise Life Cycle development and implementation including strategic support for EA and Enterprise Application Integration EAI
    • Collaborate with other Technical Architects to ensure successful implementation of strategies and architectures related to Unified Communication Security Cloud Computing Big Data Storage End User Computing Mobility and social media as related to NYULMC Information Architecture Management

    Minimum Qualifications:

    · Strong process knowledge of the Healthcare industry in the context of applying information management and services

    · Proven experience with functional and technical requirements analysis workflow process modeling/mapping methodology development and data modeling In depth knowledge and hands on experience with Enterprise Architecture strategy and road map development utilizing standard framework and methodologies such as TOGAF FEA Zachman etc

    · Experience and ability to develop Process Architecture, Application Architecture, Data Architecture and Technical Architecture artifacts covering workflow process flows data flows data models etc

    · Direct experience in implementing enterprise data management processes procedures and decision support

    · Strong experience in managing enterprise technology standards

    · Direct experience in developing strategies and projects related to Mobility Cloud Computing, Unified Communications, Social Media, etc.

    · Hands on knowledge of enterprise repository tools data modeling tools data mapping tools and data profiling tools

    · Demonstrated expertise with repository creation and data / information system life cycle methodologies

    · Ability to define Target Enterprise Architecture based on functional needs technical architecture requirements and best practices data integration/interoperability requirements and analytics needs

    · Ability to manage data and metadata migration

    · Strong understanding and experience of Web services and EAI Object oriented relational and multi-dimensional programming concepts/experience

    · Proven project management experience Good knowledge of applicable Regulatory requirements and data privacy practices and laws

    · Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or Business required MBA or Advanced Degree highly desirable

    · 15 years IT experience with 5 year’s experience in the Healthcare or related industry

    · Experience in managing architecture in an academic medical center including clinical educational and research environment is highly desirable

    · Prior experience in matrix management and managing relationships between IT and the customers

    Preferred Qualifications:

    · Demonstrates broad knowledge across multiple technologies In depth experience with Microsoft, Unix, Linux, O/S

    · Experience with Cloud native AWS Azure GCP on prem and hybrid IAM environments

    · Experience in designing and implementation of PAAS IAAS SAAS

    · In Depth experience with AWS Cloud Multi-Tenant implementation design by using key cloud resources

    · Strong Cloud Security design understanding and a key partner to Security team

    · Experience in leading enterprise through transformation including: architecting building and implementing enterprise cloud platform services in a large multi-dimensional enterprise as well as change management and latching into an agile framework

    · Hands On experience in implementing best practices for cloud based infrastructure applications and services in a multi cloud and Hybrid environment

    · To be able to leverage knowledge and experience to design and plan for cloud migration efforts from on Prem/legacy systems to cloud native technologies

    · Experience in DevOps CI/CD and automated deployments multiple environments
    Deep understanding of different access methods

    · Role based and Attribute based

    · Good understanding of F5 Application Security manager ASM policies and conceptual understating of how its configured to process traffic and forward to the Reverse Proxy for application delivery

    · Strong knowledge of industry leading IAM tools and integration patterns using SAML

    · Auth Experience with Privileged Access Management and credential management tools like CyberArk

    · Deep knowledge of active directory services and disaster recovery of systems and under pinning technologies and dependent systems

    · Authentication and remote access technologies Industry experience with multiple vendors as well as having connectivity with various forums and experts

    · Knowledge of developing setting and driving standards while operationalizing various technologies

    · Ability to work across disciplines and in a matrix environment to deliver results through influence

    · Demonstrates tech leadership for the respective technologies

    · Demonstrates collaborative leadership and be the advocate for MCIT V EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    · B S degree in information systems computer science or related field

    · 15 years in technology management in related specialties with intimate knowledge of distributed systems technologies such as server storage desktop enterprise monitoring tools architecture 8 years of AWS cloud architecture

    · Engineering and design experience

    · Health care experience a plus; understanding of the requirements of an integrated academic medical center

    · Preferred certification: AWS certified Cloud Architect Professional

    · Experience managing multiple projects and initiatives Industry vendor knowledge and established relationships

    · Effective speaker collaborative worker and good writing skills

    · Able to translate complex technical information and implications in business-oriented language

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $213,477.55 - $220,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
