    Job Description

    We are seeking an Entry-Level Structural Bridge Engineer to join our growing bridge group in Boise, Idaho. This role offers the opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to work on impactful infrastructure projects across Idaho, including work for public agencies like ITD, local agencies, and municipalities. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients, contributing to projects that positively impact communities throughout the state.

    In this position, you will:

    • Perform structural design and analysis for bridges and associated structures utilizing structural software, finite element software, and/or spreadsheets.
    • Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports for new construction and/or evaluation of existing structures.
    • Conduct site visits to understand project conditions and requirements.
    • Communicate clearly with project team members and clients, supporting effective project delivery.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering. Master's Degree preferred.
    • Up to three years of experience in structural engineering, ideally with exposure to infrastructure projects in Idaho.
    • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
    • Knowledgeable in structural design codes such as AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, etc.
    • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and mechanics.
    • Understanding of Idaho-specific design standards and environmental goals is preferred.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer, reviewing plans, or conducting site visits.
    • Capacity to move around project sites, climb ladders, and navigate uneven terrain.
    • Occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds of equipment or materials.
