    Blue Collars is a new, fast growing Emergency Service Plumbing & HVAC company serving the greater Charleston area. We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Entry-Level Controller to join our dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build their career in accounting and finance while playing a key role in overseeing the company's financial performance.

    As an Entry-Level Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company's entire P&L, as well as overseeing accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP). This is a hands-on role that will allow you to gain valuable experience in financial reporting, analysis, and day-to-day operations of the finance department.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • P &L Management: Oversee and manage the entire Profit and Loss statement, including monitoring revenue and expenses, ensuring accurate reporting, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and financial improvements.
    • Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of customer payments.
    • Accounts Payable (AP): Oversee the accounts payable process, including processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, and managing vendor relationships.
    • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and cash flow reports.
    • Cash Flow Management: Assist with cash flow forecasting and management to ensure the company's financial health.
    • Reconciliation: Perform regular account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
    • Internal Controls: Help ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with senior management, auditors, and other departments to support business decisions and ensure financial accuracy.
    • Ad-Hoc Projects: Assist with various financial analysis and special projects as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    • Previous experience with AR/AP or in a finance-related role is a plus, but not required.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) is a plus.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
    • A proactive, problem-solving attitude and willingness to learn.
