The ideal candidate for our entry-level insurance agent position has the solid communications skills it takes to drive insurance sales among potential clients and new clients. Responsibilities: • Stay abreast of any changes to rules or policies within the insurance agency to effectively amend insurance programs for existing and prospective clients • Maintain a portfolio of existing customers and pursue insurance sales with new clients by using sales strategies that may include cold calling and networking • Update reports, records, bookkeeping systems, and other organizational tools to accurately report progress toward monthly insurance sales goals • Develop risk management strategies for each customer to ensure his or her policy needs are continuously met • Conduct meetings with new and potential clients and carefully listen to their individual circumstances in order to present the best insurance policies to meet their needs Qualifications: • Must be a superb communicator able to carefully analyze complex ideas like insurance programs; experience working in customer service is beneficial • Job seekers must already have or be willing to get an insurance license • Fundamental computer skills such as experience with Microsoft Office • Working knowledge of accounting and sales lead software is a plus • Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, insurance programs, and state and federal regulations that may impact policyholders Compensation: $70,000 - $100,000
