    Job Description Qualifications:

    The Boeing Company is looking for an Entry Level Software Test Engineer to join the B-52J CERP or B-52J Test Team located in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

    The B-52 program is assembling a team to test requirements. This involves determining the requirements, writing the tests, and executing the tests.

    The successful candidate will design, develop, and complete test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality. Designs test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications. Sets up and configures test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments.

    An ideal candidate will partner with stakeholders to review and identify software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability. Executes test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes. Provides test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities. Creates, documents, and maintains test plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and data in accordance with data privacy and security protocols and standards. Develops and maintains automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes. Performs software project management functions across test and verification activities involving multifunctional teams.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Assists with the design, development, and completion of test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality

    • Contributes to partnering with stakeholders to review and identify software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability

    • Participates in the design of test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications

    • Assists with the set up and configuration of test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments

    • Assists with executing test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes

    • Contributes to providing test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities

    • Gathers information, documents, and maintains test plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and data in accordance with data privacy and security protocols and standards

    • Supports maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes

    • Assists with software project management functions across test and verification activities involving multifunctional teams

    • Assists to track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standards

    • Supports software verification and automated test script development on agile teams which are tasked with integrating/implementing solutions onto a platform

    • Develops high fidelity tool sets to enable rapid test and deployment of high-quality software solutions for the warfighter

    • Uses analytical problem-solving skills to resolve problems for the company and suppliers

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

    This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

    • Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry by the end of December 2024

    • Classroom or work-related programming experience with any of the following software development languages: Ada, C, C++, C#, Perl, Java, or Python

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Ability to develop/use Manual and Automated Test procedures

    • Perform analysis on test results

    • Oversees activities in DOORS

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Travel:

    Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.

    Relocation:

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

    Summary pay range for Associate: $64,600.00 - $87,400.00
