Our client is seeking an Environmental / Civil Engineer to join their Jacksonville, Florida Team, contributing to projects that emphasize environmental remediation and engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of remediation systems for municipal and commercial clients.
- Support the construction phase of remediation projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, preparing reports, permits, and other required documentation.
- Conduct field investigations to collect data, analyze site conditions, and monitor remediation system performance.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, technical reports, and cost estimates for remediation projects.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, anped clients to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
- Support proposals and estimates, regulatory permitting, and the preparation of completion reports and project closeout documents.
- Assist in the evaluation and design of remediation systems and provide engineering support across various project needs.
- Manage and perform environmental construction activities, including implementing and installing remediation systems, trenching, piping, and site restoration.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, mechanical, or chemical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification with an ambition to achieve a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 2–5 years of experience in environmental remediation and consulting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other basic computer applications.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Ability to travel for projects (15–20%).
- Must meet pre-employment requirements, including a drug screening, reference check, and background review.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with petroleum remediation systems, regulatory compliance, and permitting processes.
- Experience with the design, construction, and operation of remediation systems.
- Degree in Environmental Engineering is highly desirable.
- Experience interacting with regulatory agencies and their technical staff at local, state, or federal levels.
