    Job Description

    AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology Co-op for employment in the Chelmsford or Boston, MA office. This is a temporary position anticipated to be for July through December 2025.     The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Utilize basic scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.
    • Conduct field assignments such as: soil, groundwater, surface water and soil-gas/indoor air sampling, well surveying, construction/subcontractor oversight, soil/bedrock drilling oversight, among others.
    • Collect and enter data, and apply technical principles and theories.
    • Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance, generate reports/workplans and other technical writings.
    • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member and in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Currently in pursuit of Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific discipline (e.g., environmental engineering, geology, environmental science, or any other scientific related field).
    • Must have completed two years of study.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • A current Northeastern University student planning for a summer/fall 2025 co-op, who has more than one year of school remaining before earning a degree preferred. Successful interns may be eligible to return for additional internships.
    • Knowledge of environmental data collection, identification, investigation, and data entry
    • Technical writing skills
    • OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training
